acting for improvisers
|
We're so excited to offer this class on a weekly basis after a hugely successful workshop -
and so lucky to have Sheila Siragusa teaching with us!
Improvisation is theatre. Improvisers are actors. Traditional theatre training is a huge asset in any performing art, but especially for improvisation. All acting techniques share one goal: to bring believable human behavior to the stage. Join local director, actor, and teacher Sheila Siragusa to exercise some fundamental techniques that make the stage actor more readable, believable and arresting. This acting class will include working with the visible language of power, sending vocal and physical energy into specific spaces, and playing actions to affect your scene partner. If you're an improviser looking for a huge boost in your stage confidence, focus, and presence, don't miss this opportunity!
Please note: This is primarily an acting class, though we'll do a small bit of improv in order to synthesize the acting work.
Increased acting abilities will enhance your future improvised scenes.
