choreography for dummies
|
Musical improv is all about... music, right? WRONG! It's about world building and immersive storytelling. Dance and movement feature prominently in the dramatic and expressive vocabulary of musical theatre! We'll go over simple exercises to add choreography to choruses, create fluid and organically evolving stage pictures, and have silly dance breaks as our bridges. Just like with singing in musical improv, it's not about all the ballet classes you did or didn't take when you were a kid: its about presence, attunement and playfulness!
You'll be amazed at how much choreography can add to the quality of your performance and even more shocked at how easy and fun it can be.
Get moving, ya dummy!
