Happier Valley Comedy received a $115,000 matching grant from the Mass Cultural Council's Cultural Facilities Fund to take our theater expansion plans from dream to reality! Astute reader that you are, you probably noticed the "matching" part of the grant, huh? Yeah, that means we needed to raise $115,000 on our own in order to receive another $115,000 in grant funds. Combined, that total will pay for our Dream Theater expansion. And with your help, WE DID IT! Our new theater will have a fully accessible stage, an improv-friendly set, improved lighting, and expanded audience seating! We're currently pulling permits from the town and getting construction on the calendar. Want to keep supporting our efforts? As donations keep rolling in, we are in the position to try to hit phase two of the buildout earlier than we anticipated. All additional funds will go towards our extended vision to install auditorium-style seating, provide some comfortable seating accessible for all bodies, and allow more connection-rich opportunities to bolster community, like more comfortable furnishings in the lobby. We serve up the happy through our training center, shows, and professional/personal development programs.
