What if I can't afford a class? In improvisation, we give and receive gifts onstage. Now we can do so offstage as well. The Fun Fund is Happier Valley Comedy's informal training program scholarship fund, supported by our generous HVC community members who specifically donate to the Fun Fund. If the money is in the Fun Fund and you need it, it’s yours. Just email us that you'd like to use some Fun Funds for a class. We'll let you know how much is in there, so you can decide how much to use. That's all it takes! The Fun Fund is first come, first served. If you'd like to receive funds to go towards a HVC class or workshop, simply email us before registering.
Is this the same as Equity Pricing? Nope. The Fun Fund is open to anyone. Equity Pricing is a 50% or 100% savings only for those identifying as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. Click here for more about Equity Pricing.
How can I donate to the Fun Fund? Your donation helps bring laughter to the lives of others! When you donate to the Fun Fund, someone who previously couldn't afford to participate in an improv class or workshop at Happier Valley Comedy will now be able to. Donations of any amount, big or small, are welcome and greatly appreciated! To donate to HVC's Fun Fund, you can give in-person (teachers have Fun Fund envelopes available at every class) or submit your donation online below.
