Let's have the happiest prom ever to raise the roof (and funds) to
build our expanded dream theater!
Gather your most ridiculous thrift store prom regalia
(or whatever brings you joy and ease) and
let's get together for an evening of
doubling up with laughter, dancing, and donating!
The Happiness Prom reimagines the prom experience with maximum joy and ease.
Come on your own or bring a pal (or pals) or special someone(s).
Dress Code is "Wear what brings you joy and ease!" Assume Goodwill (or The Salvation Army.) Maybe you're vibing with an '80s bridesmaid dress or a powder blue tux with ruffles or, if it brings you joy and ease, jeans and t-shirts.
As long as you feel good, we feel good.

6:30pm - Arrive, vogue, and vamp. Take a picture in the photo booth, buy raffle tickets, admire each other, yuck it up with friends
7:00pm - The Understudies improvise "Prom: The Musical" 8:30pm - East Coast Swing dance lesson courtesy of Emily Fox of Emily Foxtrot. Whether you get In the Mood with Glenn Miller, run around with Mustang Sally, or Shake it Off with Taylor, East Coast Swing is your dance! Come learn the basics of this easy, fun, and versatile dance style. Emily Fox has taught social dance classes for 18 years. At her business Emily Foxtrot, she teaches couples (and parents and guests!) to prepare for weddings, not to mention people who just want to have more fun in life. 9:00pm - Prom it up! Raffle prizes awarded! Dance the night away with Improviser/DJ Adi Heller aka "A DJ Heller"! |

5 tickets for $20
10 tickets for $30
This year, we're using a Two-Raffles-In-One game plan! You'll drop your raffle tickets in specific bags to try to win a big ticket item. Once all the big ticket prizes have been awarded, all non-winning tickets go into a second raffle where winners can pick their faves from the prizes on display.
All proceeds go towards HVC's Dream Theater Expansion Fund

hvc's dream theater expansion fund
Big news! Happier Valley Comedy is building our dream theater, which will include an accessible stage, an improv-friendly set, theatrical lighting, and seating for 70+ people! The eventual expansion is just next door (the other next door, in the former dance studio), so along with our original space, we'll have three warm and friendly rooms to hold performances, classes, and rehearsals. The expanded dream theater provides a performance space worthy of the quality of work performed there, and it gives us plenty of room to continue growing our community while maintaining our cozy HVC vibe. This is a longterm multi-phase build-out plan that begins with the Happiness Prom!

"HVC means community. Through the classes and workshops I have taken, I have encountered a plethora of friends whom I might not have met otherwise.
HVC means village. Through HVC, I have found 'my people,' playful, young-at-heart, brave adults willing to be vulnerable and just plain silly.
