Hello You, tOO!
|
It’s time to take what you experienced in Hello, You and kick it up a notch. This time, count on more stage time and more feedback. We’ll still play around with some improv structures to continue to unveil the “you” that is the heart of your standup storytelling. But we’ll quickly switch over to “Our Own Private Open Mic” and spend time after each set to provide supportive feedback for one another, which is the hallmark of Happier Valley Comedy and Hello, You. We’ll hone each set, so at the end you’ll have 4-5 minutes to feature at our own "Hello, You Showcase” during a Friday night showcase.

Kelsey is the founder of the Storytelling-Standup Department at Happier Valley Comedy. She also performs with the musical improv cast "The Understudies" on the first Saturday of every month.

Our approach to Storytelling Standup is firmly anchored in the central tenets of improv: when we stay in the moment and joyfully accept our ideas, inspiring works of art are possible. Whether that’s a five-minute standup set or a life story, we follow the most joyful and easeful path of discovery to get there.
