This class is meant for intermediate to advanced improvisers who are beginners when it comes to musical improv. We'll cover basic song structures, play with group numbers and duets, learn how to find the songs within scenes, and focus on expressing relationships, emotions, and themes through song.

Misch Whitaker
Misch has studied, performed and taught improv for over ten years; past credits include Improv Asylum Mainstage (2008-2012) and ImprovBoston Mainstage (2013-2014). She currently performs with and directs Boston's Unscripted Musical Project (B.U.M.P), KERPLUNK! and Dirty Disney at Catalyst Comedy. Patrick Parhiala Patrick began his comedy career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a member of Mission: Improvable. Past credits include ImprovBoston Mainstage, Improv Asylum's NXT Cast, and Boston's Unscripted Musical Project at Catalyst Comedy. Pat works as an actor and improv instructor and currently performs at Catalyst Comedy on the cast of Dirty Disney. Shenelle Salcido Williams Shenelle is a musical theatre composer, lyricist, playwright and music director. Her full-length musical For Tonight was recently seen as a developmental reading in the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival and the 2015 Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals. She currently music directs for Dirty Disney at Catalyst Comedy. |
