musical improv short form games
|
Let's play!
We'll explore a variety of musical short form games, focusing on finding the funny and letting the music heighten the fun! Play with the classics and learn some new games, including games that can be played and performed without accompaniment. This workshop is intended for those with some musical improv experience to expand their repertoire of fun musical games and get some reps with existing skills!
Saturday, February 1st, 1-4pm
Prerequisite: Completion of Intro to Musical Improv
or permission from [email protected]
About Your Teacher:
Jeff Kimball is the Music Director of The Understudies here at HVC, and has been teaching and performing musical improv across the Northeast since sometime in the previous millennium. He has MD'd for a wide variety of resident casts, indie teams, and other shows, in addition to music theatre. He is the co-founder of the Treehouse Collective, an ensemble-based theatre company committed to producing infrequently performed projects. If you play your cards right, you might see him playing banjo and accordion unironically in public.
Fine Print!
*Please note that once you make your purchase, your place in the class is NON-REFUNDABLE unless we have 48 hours notice before first class AND we can get someone to fill your spot.
*Students must be 18+ years. (In actual years, not maturity. ;)
*Our classes may involve physical activity and we could be on our feet for at least an hour; however, we're able to accommodate for all physical abilities. Please let email us to let us know how we can best fit your needs or if you have any questions about accommodations.
