Improv comedian - AUthor - facilitator - Teacher - Nice Person

head of happiness (president/founder)

Pam Victor is  the Head of Happiness (aka founder and president) of Happier Valley Comedy, the first improv theater in Western Massachusetts. In service to HVC’s mission to bring more laughter, joy, and ease to the world, Pam directs the three branches of the company: the improv training center, regular shows, and the THROUGH LAUGHTER program for professional and personal development, which uses improv training exercises to build foundational training skills, such as communication, collaboration, and creativity.  Pam is a recipient of the 2019 NEPR Arts & Humanities Award.

iMPROV COMEDIAN

Pam Victor has been improvising professionally since 2003 when she founded The Ha-Ha's, who continue to perform at Happier Valley Comedy. Pam is the softer-skinned half of the theatrical improv duo "We Made a Thing" with Scott Braidman. Pam has improvised and done her live interview show at numerous festivals, such as The Women in Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, Detroit Improv Festival, and Chicago Improv Festival.
Pam is the co-creator of several improv structures including "The Buckingham," "Shrink: Where Freud Meets Funny," "The Fourth Wall," and "Bubble & Squeak." Pam has received improv training from iO Theater (Chicago), Annoyance Theater (Chicago), ImprovBoston, Second City teachers, and a parade of astoundingly talented teachers including Mick Napier, Susan Messing, Mark Sutton, Will Luera, Rachael Mason, Piero Procaccini and many more. She continues to learn every day from her students and the world.

Art Maker Pam Victor | Improv comedian — the art of being funny on cue

"How hard can it be to stand onstage, or in front of a microphone in a recording studio, and be spontaneously witty? Ask Pam Victor, president of Happier Valley Comedy and the only Massachusetts resident outside of Boston (to her knowledge) who makes a living as an improvisational comedian."

Author

Pam is the co-author of "Improvisation at the Speed of Life: The TJ & Dave Book" along with TJ Jagodowski and David Pasquesi. She is also the author of"Baj and the Word Launcher: Space Age Asperger Adventures in Communication," a children's chapter book that uses sci-fi to teach social skills. Pam writes the "Zen of Improv" series, a sassy (and often saucy) exploration of the place where improvisation and Zen thinking joyously meet. Pam writes mostly true, mostly humorous essays and reviews of books, movies, and tea on her blog "My Nephew is a Poodle." Pam wrote the popular interview series "Geeking Out with..." in which she got deep, dirty, and improvluscious with a calvacade of improvisation's biggest brains and talents. In "Geeking Out with: The Live TALK SHOW," Pam sits down face to face in front of live audiences with comedy festival headliners, such as Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live), Scott Adsit (30 Rock), John Lutz (30 Rock), and Laura Hall (Whose Line Is It Anyway?)

Teacher & Facilitator

Pam runs the Happier Valley Comedy Training Program. She designed and teaches a multi-level improv curriculum called "The Zen of Improv". She teaches improv workshops, such as The Zen of Improv Intensives, Bitches Get Stuff Done, and The Buckingham, at improv festivals and as a visiting artist at improv theaters around the world.

Pam created and facilitates the THROUGH LAUGHTER Program for professional and personal growth where she teaches a potpourri of workshops and presents interactive keynote addresses for a variety of audiences, all of whom she strives to leave with more joy and ease.  Pam Victor is a TEDx speaker.

Nice person

Pam tries to be loving, compassionate, and grateful 100% of the time. (She succeeds about half that time.) Pam likes you already.
