Would you like to play and laugh in a supportive community every week?
Want to get better at thinking on your feet?
Could you use some practice in mindfulness? Turning off your judgmental mind? Being brave?
Would you like to become more confident speaking in public?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, The Joy & Ease of Improv 1 would be an ever so lovely way to spend 90-minutes each week. Happier Valley Comedy's Founder and Head of Happiness Pam Victor offers this welcoming introduction to her original improv curriculum for adults who want to try something fun, rewarding, and mind-expanding. You'll learn a mindful, easeful approach to improv comedy in an incredibly positive, accepting, playful way. Through improv exercises, games, and simple scenework, you'll practice the vital improvisation skills of paying attention, agreement, redefining and disempowering failure, quieting your inner critic and amplifying your authentic voice to invite more joy and ease into your work ... and much more. Plus, you'll join a community of kind-hearted, happier people!

No experience necessary. Being funny is not required!
At Happier Valley Comedy, we believe everyone can improvise.
(No joke.)

"Those who say improv is like therapy but cheaper are right! It can be challenging and eye-opening and fun and amazing and all of the emotions! Happier Valley Comedy and Pam make it easy to explore these emotions in a safe and comfortable environment.

*Happier Valley Comedy rents land that was stolen from Indigenous people, including the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc tribes. A land acknowledgement is not appropriate or adequate to address this injustice that continues to harm people today. Therefore, we have instituted an ongoing process of contributing to the preservation of the lands and cultures of Northeastern Indigenous Peoples. Appreciation from improv 1 students:

"Taking this class made me feel braver, more confident, less self-critical, and I had fun!"
"Improv is truly changing my life for the better.
I am immensely grateful for all you do."

"It’s a great class; you learn so much, have a lot of fun, and meet great people."
"I was a improv newb when I signed up and I was really blown away by how profound the lessons of improv actually are.  I assumed it was about trying to be fast and funny and witty.  I learned that it's about really paying attention,  accepting what others are doing and trying to help them succeed."
