the joy & ease of improv 3
|
Improv 3 is when students really see everything come together as we use the all-important skills of finding and holding onto the emotional point of view as your anchor in scenework. We also continue honing the skills of agreement, paying attention acutely, discovering and playing the scene that is already happening, and serving the scene first and foremost (and more!) In Improv 3, you'll apply your strengthening improv muscles to longer scenework and some new short form games.
The joyful, easeful adventure continues! Wheee!

About Your Teacher: Pam Victor is an improv comedian, author, teacher, corporate facilitator, and nice person. She is the founder and Head of Happiness of Happier Valley Comedy, the heart of improv in Western Mass, where Pam teaches improv to the best students in the world as well as bringing the power of improvisation to the workplace in the THROUGH LAUGHTER program. TJ Jagodowski, David Pasquesi, and Pam are the co-authors of "Improvisation at the Speed of Life: The TJ and Dave Book." Pam likes you already.
*Happier Valley Comedy rents land that was stolen from Indigenous people, including the Pocumtuc and Nipmuc tribes. A land acknowledgement is not appropriate or adequate to address this injustice that continues to harm people today. Therefore, we have instituted an ongoing process of contributing to the preservation of the lands and cultures of Northeastern Indigenous Peoples. All class fees contain an additional $3 to benefit The Nolumbeka Project, a local nonprofit whose mission is dedicated to these goals.
