"Pam's workshop fundamentally changed the way I think about improv (and life!). In just 2 days I went from overthinking, always judging myself (and sometimes others), and constantly planning my next move to being comfortable with the unknown and letting things happen and be discovered naturally. Pam's teaching style is calm, supportive and encouraging (without being over the top). She gave me permission to be myself, and then helped me realize that I didn't need that permission in the first place. I will remember these two days for a long, long time to come! |
BOOK PAM'S INTERACTIVE TALK at your event
Is there a voice inside your mind that sometimes tells you that you’re not good enough? It might also give you other negative messages like, “That idea is stupid.” “Don’t say that because people will think you’re an idiot.” “Who are you to think you can do that?” “What if you embarrass yourself?” “What if nobody likes it?” Pam Victor calls that voice the Evil Mind Meanie - hers is named “Calvin” - and it’s the internal voice of unhelpful judgment. In this funny, relatable talk, professional improv comedian, author, and teacher Pam Victor provides five effective techniques for quieting your voice of unhelpful judgment, so you can live and work with more ease and joy. Interactive exercises include the whole audience in order to make these learning more powerful and fun.
Ask yourself this: “How would your life change if you stopped listening to to your voice of unhelpful judgment?” |

"This workshop was taught me that being kind and empathic to myself does not get in the way of helping others - it can actually make me more effective because I am staying aware and listening to what is really going on."
